Favorite Hoka's So Far
My podiatrist recommended Hoka's a few years ago to assist with over pronation, flat feet, and low back pain in addition to inserts. I started with the Bondi 7's which were great, they made me a believer in the difference the right shoe can make. I was less impressed by the Bondi 8 which I ordered t...

Different than Stinson6
Stiffer, lighter feel, not bad there but definitely tighter toe box. Who wants to try to break that in? Not me. Wish they'd leave them alone. Interested to hear other opinions.

I almost loved them...
I would have kept the Stinson 7, however, the overlay on the toe seemed to restrict my toe movement. Otherwise, a great shoe and really nice sole/lugs.
bad quality
After less than a week (4 runs) they have come unglued where the fabric meets the rubber sole. I'm disappointed in the quality. I've ran in Hoka for the past 10 years and this is a first. I'm not sure if it's a Stinson problem as I usually have the bondi and never had that problem.

This certainly shouldn't happen and we understand how disappointing this experience would be. We recommend sending in your pair to be evaluated for manufacturing or material defects through our one-year warranty. Great for trail runs
These shoes are excellent for trail runs. I'm on my 4th pair. They are very comfortable and navigate different terrain safely. The lugs are great for grip and avoiding slipping on loose gravel. My feet never hurt after long, challenging trail runs in the mountains.
Cushioning plus stability!
I used to like the Bondi 8 but I really love the stability of this shoe!
Disappointed
I weren't impressed with this shoe have had it a week and it's already coming apart. Hopefully it was a glitch with the glue. Sending them back to get another pair
I would definitely buy Hokas again!
I love these shoes. I am a pharmacist and stand for up to 12 hours a day on a concrete-based surface. I have searched for 30 years for the "right" shoe. I have finally found it with my Hokas! In just a few months, I bought my second pair. First shoe I've ever had that doesn't have to be "worn in". Perfect comfort with 1st step.
Breaksdown once dipped in water
I've returned the Hoka Stinson 7 multiple times to my local footwear store because the toe side kept detaching from the sole after getting wet. Plus, they barely lasted 200 miles. Very disappointing.

Official Response by HOKA ONE ONE
Hearing your pair has let you down, we're certainly bummed they weren't everything you had hoped for. It sounds like you may need a Gore-Tex style to defeat those wet conditions. We think you'll love our Challenger 7 GTX. Combining a simplified mesh upper with a soft new foam, we’ve increased the stack height for a plusher feel and added GORE-TEX INVISIBLE FIT with recycled content product technology for enhanced protection in inclement weather. Remember, you always have 30-days to see if they are right for you through our guarantee bit.ly/HOKA30Day.
Great Trail Traction!
Having just recently moved to a mountain town, my running terrain has expanded from the typical paved roads and sidewalks. I am often running on dirt, gravel and snow covered trails in addition to sidewalks and roads. Having a shoe with more aggressive tread has given me more traction and piece of mind. The stability and comfort are great as well! Plus, I get to run in a fun, brightly colored shoe!
I now have 3 pair of the STINSON 7
Love this shoe - great support. Very comfortable
Yes, I would buy this pair again in a different color.
My new Cosmic Stinson 7's came today and fit perfect. I had a hard time deciding what to chose to replace my Clifton 8's - that I loved. I read the reviews and went with the stabilizing H-Frame, plush cushioning and recommended by the Podiatrist Association. I already loved the HOKA brand for their semi- wide toe bed to accommodate my inherited bunion on my right foot. Too bad I broke my left ankle 2 weeks ago and can't wear them both right now - but my right foot is the one the shoe always has to fit. Looking forward hitting the trails again with a stabilized shoe!
