Sadly, had to return these because I thought these were zero cushion. But I guess race socks still have some cushion in the shins.

My daughter may not be racing anymore, but these are still the only socks she will use. They are comfortable and provide a great connection to the boot.

I really do like these socks. I gave a 4 instead of a 5 because I typically like thicker socks for skiing. My feet run super cold (I have Raynaud's) so I could use a little more warmth to these. However great for spring skiing when you don't have a super cold day. I actually love running and hiking in higher length socks, and these are great for any athletic activity. The socks didn't move in my ski boots and fit very comfortably in these. Same goes for shoes. I would still buy these for other activities, but will look for warmer rated smartwool socks for skiing. #smartwoollove
