Almost perfect
I have narrow feet and I often find women's larger sizes fit my feet well. On the flip side, my wife has wide feet and gets the men's smaller sizes. Last weekend, we bought ourself the Mach x2. I had the Mach x and found them a little too firm for the longer runs. These were very nice. My legs felt ...

Raw Heels :(
I was so excited for the Mach X2 to come out. I don't know if there is a Hoka shoe I have had before this one that I didn't love - for context, I am still wearing Clifton 8's for daily trainers, Mafate Speed 4 for daily trails, Tecton X2 for trail racing, Cielo X1, Rocket X and Rocket X2 for roads, ...

Blisters
I had high hopes for these shoes. First 2 miles were ok then I started felling some rubbing and heat on my back of my foot. By mile 3 I had to take them off and go it in my socks. Very painful blisters.

Beware...
I loved the Mach X. It was a perfect fit, great stride alignment, and my racing shoe... About 6 weeks out from Boston I maxed milage of my Mach X so bought these. I understand making enhancements of new models but totally changing a shoe?? Putting bumps inside at the heel?? I will never understand. I am SO upset.. I was warned so I eased into them to break them in, running shorter distances/speed work and thought I was ok. I was very wrong. My first longer milage run, they completely ripped up my heels. This was my favorite shoe and now I don't know what to do. I'm extremely disappointed plus I now don't have time to try to find a new shoe ahead of my race. Horrible experience.

Mach x2
I love Mach5 & 6 have many pair but always out of stock. Mach x2 pushed my foot to the outer side and the laces were crooked.
Wide width
I got these shoes in a wide and they fit my feet but they are very hard to put the shoes on. They are causing major blisters on the back of my heels as well. Very frustrating because they are super comfy once I get them on. I get I have a 30 day window to send back, but it's also a hassle. This review is just for someone with wide feet to be weary of.

Disappointed
I bought the same type and size before but in a different color scheme. This pair feels and fits different and I got the worst blisters of my life. Really painful. I will still buy Hokas as I'm hoping this was a one time fluck (agonizing and expensive).

Favorite shoe ever
Surprised to see so many low ratings because the Mach X and Mach X2 are my favorite shoes ever! I have Both feel great for all paces, but the X2 feels a lot speedier than the original. I have ~350 miles on the X2 and think I'll get around 100 more. I wear it for everyday slow runs, fast track workouts, and long runs. Really cushiony but also responsive. I haven't had any problems with the heel so far, although I usually always wear the feetures max cushion socks. Highly recommend :)
Blisters on my heels :(
I have run multiple marathons and half marathons in the hoka mach X and absolutely loved them. I was excited to try the Mach X 2 and although they look great, I had multiple blisters on my heels within the first 3 miles of running in them! Had to return them and track down another pair of the original Mach X.

Never recommending again!
Purchased a pair of Mach x2 and within a few months already falling apart (barely 60 miles on them) I sent in for warranty but I was denied. HOKA definitely don't back their products.

Official Response by HOKA ONE ONE
We know it is frustrating when your pair doesn't hold up as expected, as our goal is for you to fly for miles. Due to many varied factors such as terrain, frequency of wear and natural elements, some pairs may wear quicker than others. Although we do cover manufacturing and material defects, normal wear and tear is not covered under our warranty. Unfortunately, we are not able to override the warranty department's decision. If you would like to learn more about our policy and what's covered, click here: bit.ly/HOKAWty.
Ambivalent.
These shoes are the perfect shape, have perfect soles, and have the perfect look. What's not so perfect is the heel. The back of the shoes used to be white; they are now red with my blood. I usually run around 3 miles of road running on run days and train on the track on the other days. I have narrow feet and struggle with random foot pain. This shoe solved both of those issues. The problem lies right where you can see it. They tried doing this crazy design with a little piece of fabric rising above the heel of the shoe- but don't be fooled. The shoe ends where the teal stitching ends- and it rubs up against your heel! With thick socks and bandaids, it's fine, but without it the pain is #unbearable. I will continue to wear these shoes, and I hope they innovate them because the concept and the carbon plate were well done. These puppies just weren't tested as well as they should have been. I also like the thin backing on the shoe because my old Hokas' plastic popped out after a year of wear and gave me blisters through that. Dear Hoka, work on blister prevention, lol.
