Great water shoes for dry and wet hiking trails
I bought these shows for a backpacking trip in Havasupai Falls (AZ). Loved the shoes, they were perfect for crossing the streams and hiking on soft trails. I wear size 8 and they fit fine. I like the construction of the shoes - collapsible heal proved to be a great feature, no need to carry extra ...

Heel very narrow
This shoe had everything I wanted and more but had to return it as the heel was way too narrow and I could feel the stitching beneath the insole where the materials transitioned. It caused pain just walking my dog 2 miles, no chance I could do 50 miles in and out of water in 4 days with these. It's ...

Fast shipping
Fast shipping, very comfortable. My expectations were fully met.
Comfort + function
Ordered a pair for a trip to a few swimming holes in Northern Az. These handeled the rough wet granite terrain easily. Shoes did not retain water at all. all river walking was non slip and I felt sure footed even on submerged rocks and stones. I definitely recommend them!
Poor Material Choice
Like most everything about the Techamphibian 5 except the sole material. It is a hard(er) black rubber that is very slick on smooth surfaces. Super important to me as I use them mostly for scrambling on the beach. My Chacos, and the Tevas before them, are both better. Running shoes are better. Not asking for climbing rubber, but there are better choices. Will probably have to ditch these before I crack my head on a wet rock.
very functional
love them for how you can take them into the water and when you get out they flush out very nice. very sporty look, good for all outdoor activities. had a another pair few years back and I lost them on one of my trips. finally ordered another pair had to wait awhile for them to be back in stock. there was another style also that looked good but don't see them anymore either maybe they will bring them back too looked nice also
So far, so good!
I just bought the TECHAMPHIBIAN 5 and only have been able to take them on a couple of light hikes while on our Hawaiian Vacation and so far, they are preforming as advertised. They are comfortable and the back heel does not rub and blister like so many of the other shoes I have purchased before. We are in Mexico this week and should really be able to put these shoes to the text.
Great Shoe
I love the way they feel and look, nice comfortable shoe, true size for me
This is an Observation
Given the technology improvements why is it not possible to get the correct sizing choice right first time. Do we not have the tech to photograph a foot alongside two know sized object and obtain a near perfect sizing match. I'm fed up of ordering oroducts that arnt size suitable.
Great Shoes!
I've been looking for a long time for shoes like this that I'd be able to wear on a hike with a cave system where I have to walk in water. Incredible shoe and very happy with my purchase!
