My New Marathon Shorts
Training for a marathon and as mileage got high I wanted to switch up liner style (had been using the usual brief style in UA shorts) and was pleasantly surprised by the whole package on these shorts. Liner is supportive but flexible, covering the thighs too, and so there is minimal friction (higher...

Not a good replacement for Cascadias!
OK--I have worn the Brook's Cascadia 2 in 1 for years--it was my go to trail and long run shorts. It look's like with the Sherpa redesign--Brooks are condensing their product line. Unfortunately, the Sherpa is a POOR replacement for the Cascadia's. What made Cascadia great shorts were the wide el...

Running shorts
Comments about Sherpa 7" 2-in-1 Short
Perfect for running - love the pockets
Close to great
Comments about Sherpa 7" 2-in-1 Short
Would like the compression to be a little more snug around the groin. And the waistband looks great but is a bit thick. But good storage, shorts themselves are light, and they look great
Need a hip pocket that fits large phones with case
Comments about Sherpa 7" 2-in-1 Short
Had to return. Side pocket was not big enough for my phone. Large phone with OtterBox case. Also shorts seemed to ride down a little bit
Best phone pocket
Comments about Sherpa 7" 2-in-1 Short
Really nice shorts. My favorite feature is the phone pocket, which is actually sewn into the liner, so your phone is held to your leg as you run, not bouncing around like normal shorts.
Great while they last
Comments about Sherpa 7" 2-in-1 Short
Great while they last. After only a month or so the liner started ripping, which lead to increasingly worse chafe-ing. Brooks support replaced the pair for free but I quickly encountered the same issue with the second pair.
Very comfortable. Works

Great fit. Pockets are outstanding and the liner is great. I will be back to buy another pair.

Love these shorts! the liner prevents chafing and the easy access pocket for phone is a bonus.
my favorite shorts
Comments about Sherpa 7" 2-in-1 Short
Best shorts ever so I bought a few. Very comfortable and great storage for short and very long runs even hikes, iPhone mini stays very secure in the side pocket!! Can you make the key loop maybe 0.5" longer? Car keys are getting bigger and bigger !
Good shorts that need a couple of tweaks
Comments about Sherpa 7" 2-in-1 Short
Overall, I like the shorts, but I don't "love" them. I really like the phone pocket. These are the first shorts I've used that have that and it makes a big difference not having to carry my phone or it flapping around on my leg. The inner lining is very comfortable, although I had the seams on the inner thighs of the liner chafe my inner thighs (partially my mistake and only happened on my first long run with the shorts). It would be nice if those seams could be on the outer thighs. The waistband feels a tad too large and is not very elastic, so it doesn't hug the waist and feels like the liner is holding the pants in place. The liner feels nice so I'm not sure whether I should size down. The drawstring is small (in terms of thickness) and also not very elastic which I believe contributes to them being not much help tightening the shorts and a bit difficult to untie. Also, the seam on the left pocket has started to separate from the mesh of that pocket. I have only run in them for about 5 long runs now. Pros + inner liner + phone pocket that hugs to hip and doesn't allow phone to flap around Cons - waistband is slightly too large and doesn't hug the waist - drawstring needs either more thickness or elasticity - left pocket elastic seam is coming loose Personal nit-pick * prefer the liner seams meet on the outer thigh instead of inner thigh (but you're probably smarter than I was about preventing chaffing)
