Ranger 2.0 features DryFlex grip for easy handling, a clinometer for measuring slope angle and comes with a built-in adjuster for magnetic declination, magnifying lens and rubber friction feet for precision map work. It also features map-measuring in mm, inches, scales of 1:25k, 1:50k, 1:24k USGS scale and GPS scales. The scales and markings in a clear contemporary font combined with lots of transparency in the baseplate makes navigating easier – when activated in light the luminous markings enable night time navigation. The red/black north-southlines in the capsule bottom ensures easy and safe settling. The needle is made from finest Swedish steel with high quality magnetic features.

a reliable, sturdy, versatile instrument
a quality, waterproof baseplate compass with a steady magnetic needle, declination adjustment, a clinometer to measure the angle or elevation of slopes, night use up to four hours, various map reading tools including rulers and roamer scales, a magnifier, a lanyard with scales that help me measure distances on maps, and a large mirror enabling me to not only take readings while sighting on objects in front of me but also to signal in case of emergency
