The Prodigy 1 is designed for skiers seeking precise handling in the park and on-piste. Featuring an award-winning elliptical sidecut, these skis offer effortless turn initiation at any speed, while full strength sidewalls deliver exceptional edge hold. The Prodigy 1 is 88mm underfoot, enhancing its precision on hard-packed features. A unique construction of a poplar wood and ash wood core provides the strength needed to withstand heavy hits. For this 26/27 model, Faction integrated a carbon/rubber stomp pad to absorb vibrations, making your ride and creative expression smoother and more sure-footed than ever. Paired with XL 2.5mm edges, the Prodigy 1 skis are built for lasting durability.
- Terrain: Park & Pipe
- Ability: Intermediate, Advanced, Expert
- Flex: 7/10 (1-Soft, 10-Stiff)
- Freeride / Powder: 4/10
- All-Mountain / Carving: 7/10
- Park / Freestyle: 9/10
- Poplar / Ash Wood & Fiberglass Core: Poplar is a light-colored, durable softwood that flexes and pops nicely as well as having great vibration absorption capabilities. Ash is a heavier hardwood, that complements Poplar by adding stiffness and durability. This duo provides excellent hold on hard snow, a solid base for stomping landings and enough pop and flex to get creative with. They're set between two layers of fiberglass for strength, rigidity and durability
- Carbon and Rubber Stomp Pad: A carbon/rubber reinforcement underfoot adds strength where it matters most. In addition to protecting the wood core from heavy-duty impacts, it adds stability and vibration absorption under your boots, so stomping landings feel better; both for you and your skis
- Sintered Base
- Elliptical Sidecut: Made up of a longer radius underfoot and shorter radius in the tip and tail of the ski. The long radius underfoot means you can pivot faster and easier, while a shorter radius in the tip and tail result in easier turn initiation. This sidecut allows for a wide variety of turn lengths, angles and mounting positions
- Mustache Flex: The "Mustache Flex" offers stability underfoot for solid edge hold, with a smooth, progressive flex in the tips and tails to easily absorb all the different bumps and snow debris the mountain throws at you
- All-Mountain Twin Tip: A considerably skinnier tail width than in the tip provides ultimate downhill performance for attacking the mountain. A twin tip in the tail encourages playfulness and freestyle attitude, meaning you can ride switch with ease
