When it comes to tent longevity, we've got you covered. The Hornet Footprint is not for waterproofness; Nemo floors already are impenetrable to water. Rather it protects your tent floor when camping on rough surfaces, adding longevity to your tent.

Defective? Footprint was smaller than the tent
Love the tent but not the foot print!! Went to Lost Maples (Texas) backpacking trip and I got the Hornet 2P due to its light weight. Set up was in the dark and was a breeze (I also practiced at home before trip). The foot print was not very intuitive. There is a grommet hole to let you know whic...

Good Investment
8/01/23 Invested in this product for protection of my pricey UL tent and insulation for pad n sleep. When assembled properly, all modular; all works. Recommend. Practice at home many times. I dont use drawstring carry thing on trail; only for home storage. I fold footprint carefully and stow in pack. Dont take time to put in carry thing and i can squish it into backpack better. Cleans well with shake.
Not worth it
I bought this along with Hornet 1P about 2 years ago. Design is a disaster. The d-loop always come about and I have to use pegs separately to push it down. The size is not adequate to cover the floor of Hornet 1P, tried it many times and failed. I have other tents as well and footprint to tent pegging is never a problem on those ones.
Great fit and very secure!
Finally broke down and bought the footprint for my Nemo 2 person Hornet. Glad I did as I like how it can be secured to the tent and won't slip away from the tent. Had been using makeshift footprint, but this is much better!
Durable footprint!
The footprint does exactly what it needs to do. I highly recommend it to protect the floor of your Hornet 2P tent.
Slick
Supper slick set up. Fasten it in once and just roll it up with the tent. Should really be part of the kit.
Works great!
I bought this a week ago and it works great! Really protects the bottom of the tent from rocks and roots. Would definitely recommend having it for backpacking as the tent floor is thin.
Must Have to Protect your Tent
After finding a couple of videos on YouTube showing the proper way to attach the footprint to the tent, I had no issues. Logo side is up. Size is perfect for the floor of the tent. So happy I got this to protect my tent and keep my tent floor clean and dry.
What's with the footprint?
I just bought this footprint and used it on my backpack trip this past week. I love the 2 pc tent for one person and have had great luck with it in the Olympics and Cascades, but the footprint is about 5 inches smaller at the head than the tent and about 4 inches shorter than the tent and also narrower at the foot. Is this mistake? Can't be good in the rain.

Hi Jeanne, please reach out to our team at journey@nemoequipment.com so we can get this sorted out for you — the footprint should be a perfect fit!
Footprint + fly = freestanding rain shelter?
I took my Hornet 2P out on a rainy late October hike in Algonquin, and found that I wished I could set up the fly alone with the poles for a quick shelter. My hiking companion mentioned that if I buy the footprint, it has the jake's feet and I can attach the poles to the footprint and then sling the fly over. Is this true???
