Garmin Forerunner 165
For a person that actually has 4 Garmin watches a Garmin Navigator for my motorcycle and one for my police unit, I feel I am somewhat qualified to review my new Garmin watch. I love the Amoled screen on the new forerunner it is so much better than that on my 735XT or 945. The 165 hooks up to the sat...

Just okay
I wanted a more watch that was better for running and swimming than the Apple Watch. This one is moderately better but it gives me wonky pacing under bridges (!!!) and is unable to record grade adjusted pace. It is often inaccurate recording laps in the pool as well.

works well
Battery life HUGE improvement over older Forerunners.
My old Forerunner 45 broke in a fall. While that was a decent watch, it's battery life was so-so even with everything shut off. New 165 series is excellent with battery life and software features are smart. New OLED screen is huge improvement and post run analysis data is compressed into the phone UI(as well as app)which is surprisingly readable. Clocks like Timers, Stopwatch, Alarm are now buried in a submenu on the menu ring. That sort of sucks and makes it harder to go back and forth in modes. They added more ring features and honestly, they are not as compelling as the old clock features
Overall great experience
I bought the watch about 2 months ago and I love it. There are some features that I have yet to tap into but overall very good watch!
Love it
Went from a apple to this and love it ! Batterie life and the side buttons when running
This is the third Garmin watch I have owned. Like this one

Everyday health and running
Its gone.
I enjoyed it for the short time I had it, but I think it was stolen.
Perfect match
It's been over a month and I don't regret it at all. It has data that I need to improve my training and form when I run.
Completely obsessed
I'm absolutely loving this thing. Geeking out on all the stat's, having fun with the training and challenges. I hated watches, I wear this 24 hours a day to see all of my info.
