I bought this to use on my 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan and it works perfectly! Thule puts excellent products as add-ons for your vehicle. I wouldn't buy anything else. Its convenient that Thule products are available from LL Bean. I saved some money by using my LL Bean Mastercard instead of buying from Thule directly, and got some Bean Bucks as a bonus. It's a Win-Win for me today! Super-Fast Shipping. Got it 4 days after ordering it.

I've had this cargo box since 2019 and it is exactly like the day I got it. I love this thing so much that I came to the website on a Saturday morning 5 years later to sing its praises. First thing, I am able to install/remove the box without help and I'm a petite woman with average upper body strength. It is extremely straightforward to install and lightweight. You don't have to guess if it's safe because you have the clicks on the locks. This thing has been through it all - rain, snow, harsh sun - and is still in perfect shape. It holds a lot, so is a great addition to a car with limited cargo space. Looking at the other reviews, there are a couple things to point out — you cannot overstuff this thing, then try to lock it. Personally, I appreciate that because it indicates to me that I need to take a couple things out or reorganize rather than having a storage box that isn't properly closed and might malfunction on the hwy. if you pack it properly, it closes and locks easily. No, you can't try to push it open beyond where the hinges stop. It has limitations on how open it can go (my only complaint), but that allows the functionality of opening on both sides. It's a trade off and one I was willing to make. Last thing- you can't take your key out of the lock unless it's locked. There's no unlocking and removing your key. It's a great feature because it ensures you're not going to close it and forget to lock it. Would buy this thing again in a heartbeat, but I'll probably never have to since it looks like it's going to outlive us all!

We're very happy with our Thule. It survived a big accident, even after coming off the car and flying onto the ground. It still opened easily, wasn't cracked, and our stuff was all in tact. The clamps bent due to the force of things, but that's totally understandable. We will be getting a new one for sure.

Just completed my first trip with this new cargo box. All great, except the carrier bounces in the wind on the highway…so badly other motorists their honk horns and wave at me due to safety concerns. I am using stock 4Runner rack and rails. Can you recommend a solution? Are Thule rails more stable? Would foam support under the front and back to prevent the rocking?

No issues fitting the box on my Subaru Ascent. Installed easily and securely on the factory bars that came with my car, and other than needing two people to lift it up onto my roof, being a tall car, the box was super easy to clamp down, stayed secure, made no noise when driving and did not impact my gas mileage noticeably. Was a nice addition for our family camping trips where we always see to pack SO MUCH STUFF. :) Now to figure out where to store it between trips... phew.
