Lightweight and easy to travel
Just used this tent for a bikepacking trip across Vermont. I lugged a 2-person tent from another brand across NH last year and this saved me about 4 pounds in extra weight. As you know, every ounce counts when you are cruising through gravel trails for 45+ miles a day. This tent was also extremely easy to set up and break down, which was really key when you are exhausted. I am trying to get my whole team to get this tent. I love it!
Fantastic for tripping with kids
I picked this up to be my go to tent when traveling with one of my kids. The 3 person is roomy. I backed this up with a double air matt and made for a great set up for traveling with one of my kids. The pockets... There are so many and so well thought out. The weight is incredible and really helps when you're carrying for 2.
Most versatile tent ever!
Bought the 3 man dragonfly osmo a few months ago for my cousin, my brother and I and I never regretted it. It has so many features to making camping and packing so much easier. It has vents to prevent tent condensation, and plenty of breathable features for summer time. It packs super light. I'll give my cousin the poles and then use the role top to close the tent down to about half the size!! Love it with all my heart and am a big fan of the osmo fabric! Also a huge fan of the amount of pockets.

Killer tent. Super light.
When looking for a new backpacking tent I knew I wanted to get one with a little more space to share with my 5 and 3 year olds. Although a 3-man tent is heavier, the OSMO fabric seems to keep the weight down. I'm surprised at the roominess this tent provides for the size and weight it packs down to. I also appreciate the divvy cube setup so I can remove the poles and stuff the tent into a tighter spot in my pack. I just put the poles in a side pocket of my pack. Setup of this tent is easy to do and intuitive. The hubbed aluminum poles a great. This tent perfectly compliments my Disco Sleeping bag and Tensor Pad. I love Nemo products. Nice job, Nemo Equipment!
Awesome Tent!
So far, I've taken this tent out in the desert, high mountains, and everything in between and it's been great. The fly has held up really well and the overhead storage features make it really easy to organize my equipment. I also love the storage bag that it comes in. If you remove poles, it rolls down to about the size of a Nalgene water bottle. Would recommend for anyone looking for a lightweight, freestanding tent.
Great balance between space and weight
I also have a Nemo Hornet and felt it was a little tight when sleeping 2 in a 2p or 3 in a 3p. Also the vestibule was a little small for my liking so I Changet to a Nemo Dragonfly and while it might be slightly heavier than the hornet, it provides the extra few inches of space and larger vestibule to keep gear dry.
Amazing quality!
So stoked I snagged this tent while it had some sale pricing on it, although to be honest, its worth full price and then some. Got this to go bikepacking with my son (I know there's a bikepacking specific version) but this tent is small enough as-is to fit in my bikepacking kit. It does everything I need, takes up minimal space and is as lightweight as can be expected to a tent that builds out to a size comfortable enough for me and the kiddo to share! I have yet to put it to the test in inclement weather, but will update my review if it doesn't hold up. I have no reason to believe I will need to update this review though! 🤣 Get it, you wont be sorry!
Solid lightweight backpacking tent
I've owned 2 of these now. Passed a used one down to my daughter. Lightweight and stormproof when you really need it. Had a couple of rips from lots of hard use. Nemo did an awesome job fixing it right up and getting me back on trail.
Pleasantly surprised!
Honestly I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I do! I prefer to use it over my tiger wall. Seems durable, and quite spacious even with 2 people. Plenty of room under the vestibule for packs!
My favorite tent
This is a review of the dragonfly 1p to be clear. This tent is perfect for solo trips where your trying to be light but dont wanna give up those cushy freestanding tent features. I love all the pockets. Nice big loft pocket above your feet to stuff a jacket in to make it easily accessible if you get cold or have to wake up and take a leak. Overhead pockets are great for watching a movie on your phone if thats your thing. I also really like how small the footprint is. You can pretty easily find a spot to stick this tent when real estate is at a premium. Lastly im 6'4" with broad shoulders and i have no problem fitting in it with a tensor long/wide pad. Lookin forward to years of great trips in this tent.
