This is my first time trying a SPF for hair. I am absolutely amazed with Coola ocean salt and sage hair and scalp mist with SPF 30. It smells exactly like it says in the name. Smells like ocean and sage. It smells like summer and beach. It's an added bonus that it protects the hair and scalp from uv rays. The nozzle on this bottle is perfect to apply the mist for very precise application. The bottle is so compact, perfect for throwing a bottle in your purse or beach bag. It sprays mist that does not make hair look greasy or wet. It smells like spa. This product is also loved by my husband who has very fine hair and gets easily sunburned or irritated scalp withing couple min of exposure in sun. I'm am absolutely loving this Ocean Salt & Sage Scalp & Hair Mist with SPF 30! As someone who spends a lot of time outdoors, I need a product that not only protects my hair and scalp from the sun but also keeps them healthy and smelling amazing.This mist delivers! I was just on a week-long vacation in Puerto Rico and this saved my scalp while out in the hot Caribbean sun! As someone who doesn't like to wear hats on vacation, this came in so handy while on the go. For context, I have sensitive skin with Seborrheic dermatitis and I didn't have any sort of interactions with this spray. I love the direct nozzle and how it sprays the product evenly throughout the head. The spray is clear so it didn't stain any of my lighter clothes that I had on while spraying it. Having this gave me confidence while out in the sun - I was completely worry free and didn't need to be paranoid about getting burnt. It almost felt like an invisible shield in place of a hat. I also love the smell - it's more of an herbal scent but nothing offensive or strange. I'm removing a star because I can see how this product may be greasy feeling for those with thin or fine hair. Since mine is on the thicker side, I didn't have any issues but while I'm out in the sun sweating, my hair gets greasy of course so it doesn't make a difference to me. I'll definitely have this in my purse throughout the spring and summer. To start with - I have fine, thin hair, so I always struggle to find that one good product that will not make my hair greasy, it is not heavy for my hair. COOLA Scalp and Hair Mist with SPF 30 is just a great discovery for me! This mist does a great job at sun protection without messing up with my fine hair, not leaving a sticky residue. It is pretty lightweight, it dries quickly and by the way, it has a nice fresh scent. Can not skin the fact that it is organic and reef- friendly!!! The only concern is that it can feel a bit drying on my scalp after using it for some time. Otherwise, I would say that it is a great option for sun protection without weighing my hair down. I thought that the coola scalp and hair mist sunscreen spray was the perfect way to protect my hair and scalp from the harsh Florida sun! It came in beautiful packaging (the prettiest beachy blue!) and misted smoothly. It was easy to apply an even coat all over. Obviously since it is sunscreen it's going to leave a bit of a greasy feeling and look to your hair, so this definitely isn't for you if you don't plan on washing or getting your hair wet. Because of this I wouldn't use this daily, only when I'm in direct sunlight for multiple hours. It is also scented very tropically, but has a strong smell of alcohol (which is expected of course because it's sunscreen). COOLA's Scalp & Hair Mist Organic Sunscreen SPF 30 is a lightweight scalp sunscreen for applying to my hair part and along my hairline. The product is water-resistant, which is great for the beach or the pool. The scent is a natural ocean salted sage scent that is light and fresh, but not for everyone. My hair can get oily very easily, especially in the summer, so I am mindful to not apply too much product to avoid extra greasiness.I am not sensitive to the sun, but if you are, I would recommend a hat for sun protection instead if you plan on spending hours in the sun. I'm wary that the product is effective without dousing your scalp with the product.  Reapplying every 2 hours can also cause product buildup in your hair and won't look great. Overall, COOLA's Scalp & Hair Mist Organic Sunscreen SPF 30 is a decent hair/scalp sunscreen but be mindful if you're extra sensitive to the sun or have oily hair.  **This review was collected as part of a promotion.

I received this product in exchange for my honest review and any opinions expressed are my own. I love the packaging of this product it is eye catching and a wonderful color. The spray bottle is easy to use and provides even coverage. I love that UV protection is offered for your hair and find that to be so innovative and unique. I love that the product is 70% organic and has both cica and monoi oil which is beneficial to the hair and scalp. The scent reminds me of sunscreen, but that is to be expected due to the nature of the product and isn't overpowering. Other benefits include that it is farm to face, antioxidant enriched, cruelty free (huge animal lover here!!), dermatologist tested, and vegan/gluten free. I have been searching for something like the Coola scalp and hair sunscreen mist. I have a very fair skin tone and my scalp is much lighter. After moving to Texas I learned that it was possible to get a sunburn on exposed areas of your scalp such as your part. I try to wear hats or head coverings when possible but that it is not always possible so I have tried various ways of applying sunscreen to my part and hairline.Not anymore! I am apple to spray this along my scalp and even in my hair to protect it. The mist comes out quite evenly, and covers a generous area. After spraying my hair I do not find that it leaves it oily at all and makes my hair no harder to manage. It has a slight herbal/ocean scent that is called ocean salted sage that is a bit hard to place for me. It's not a super overpowering scent but is not necessarily my favorite. I've been doing it for more than 7 years now.I really enjoined this hair and scalp mist. It's has very fine mist with targeted  nozzle for very precise application. It provides great SPF 30 protection for my hair and scalp. My scalp always burns in spring in summer where I sort my hairline but not with this spray. It is also very lightweight and doesn't make my hair greasy quickly.Contains very good and soothing ingredients for hair and scalp.
