I normally do not write reviews and this is only my opinion. I am truly amazed by the taste. It has become my favorite MH freeze dried I have had. To me it taste like a top end chicken pot pie, which I thoroughly enjoy. I will be adding this to my day bag when I take more long, adventurous Hikes. A solid great tasting, filling lunch that I know will be rewarding to enjoy.

Bought this several months ago and finally had a chance to try it. It was full of flavor and large pieces of veggies. The only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars was it could have used more meat. I will definitely purchase this again for my hiking trip. Some of it didn't mix or rehydrate well but I actually liked it that way.

With my chronic back pain, there are times that I can't stand up very long to cook a nutritious meal, let alone go thru the prep. I have an extensive variety of Mountain House meals on hand so my meals are never boring. The Chicken and Dumplings is a very good comfort food that takes me back to my Mom's cooking. It's one of my favorites.

My husband travels for work and often works long hours. Chicken and Dumplings is his favorite to take as a "back up" dinner after a long day. This way he doesn't have to leave the hotel room in order to have a hot dinner. It can be made any time using hot water from the room coffee machine. :-)

We thought we'd give the Mountain House Chicken & Dumplings a try on a recent Boundary Waters canoe trip. We both agreed it tasted like a home cooked meal in the back country. The only advice we would give is to add a little more water than recommended and let it sit longer after the first stir. My meal had a few crunchy bits of dumplings (that look like croutons!) but it was fine.
