I am very fortunate in that I have three of the older version of this shirt. They are far superior. I wanted this shirt to be a travel shirt, so I wanted it to be quick drying and wrinkle resistant. It is quick drying, but it wrinkles terribly. The older shirts are much better with wrinkle resistance. I also like the pockets and the venting on the older shirts better. And the older shirts even fit me better. The body size seemed the same, but the length of the sleeves on the new shirts are longer and don't fit nearly as well. I've seen other reviews that said much the same as I'm saying. Don't know why they would take what was an excellent, excellent product and mess it up with a version that's not as good. So for me at least, this shirt is a fail and I returned it. On the positive side, I found Mountain Hardware customer service to be very easy to deal with.

This shirt survived 6 countries and 9 flights in 16 days and never stunk. It held up and looked great without a single wash after being jammed in my luggage repeatedly. I'd say it wears a bit loose, but is still a tailored (not slim) fit. The zippered pockets/ vents is an awesome feature for travel to store things like money and passports safely, and to vent for hiking or backpacking. This shirt is well designed and manufactured.

The short sleeve version of this shirt is awesome, but the long sleeve version is poorly sized, especially the sleeves. Not everyone with a 48" chest has 37" sleeves!

The hidden zipper pockets and roll up sleeves are great, but the fabric feels very sticky/clingy. I feel like in recent years synthetic fabrics have gotten a lot better, but this feels like the stuff from the 90s and doesn't breath well. I normally wear XL, but I went down to the large on this shirt, and it is still too big, especially the sleeve length.

Im 6'5, 195lbs, 37-38inch sleeve. This shirt is almost perfect for me. Pros: features - roll up sleeves & pockets are great. I love the sun protection of the flip up collar. Materials - The fabric is so light and has a great soft feel to it almost like silk Venting - This has so many ways to dump heat, but they are so inconspicuously placed you don't even see them. It doesn't look like a "sun shirt" Cons: The fit - Being a tall and skinny guy I run into this problem all the time with button up shirts. I bought the XL and the sleeve and body length are perfect. However the shirt is so loose. I could almost wrap it around myself twice. I still love everything else about the shirt so I will happily keep it. The loose fit doesn't bother me that much because I'm so used to it at this point, but I thought I'd mention it. If the shirt were cut a little slimmer it would get 5 stars from me no question.

These shirts are great! I bought one in green, for hiking in deep foliage without worry of discoloration. Its more green than "army," so no concerns about looking like you're wearing fatigues.
