Apex Chute Just The Ticket
I bought this for my hubby, since he has a lightweight one, and needed a heavier weight one for winter dog walks and such. He is 5'9" and average build & this fits well. It is slim fitting, but it's not uncomfortable. I tried it on and like the fit. I'm a 5'2" female, but my husband also says that i...

Not What It Used To Be
I had a couple of these from a previous season and loved them; after losing one while travelling, I ordered this to replace it. But the the quality has noticeably declined: the item is thinner; the merino wool (if that's really what it is) is less soft; and as another reviewer has noted, the embroid...

Comfortable & Effective
I was looking for something to block the winter chill on my morning bike commute and the apex chute is perfect. In my mind you can't beat the comfort of merino, but it's important to me that the item be soft and feel right, and the apex chute is both of those. When it's not too cold it is the perfect weight for keeping around my neck. And when the chill starts to really sting, it's very effective pulled up over my mouth and nose. And it stays in place, which is essential. I'm very happy with this purchase.
Not What It Used To Be
I had a couple of these from a previous season and loved them; after losing one while travelling, I ordered this to replace it. But the the quality has noticeably declined: the item is thinner; the merino wool (if that's really what it is) is less soft; and as another reviewer has noted, the embroidery shown in the photo is missing. Very disappointing, especially for the high price (on a Chinese-made product, to boot).
Is This Really Merino Wool?
I'm not convinced this is merino. It is comfortable, warm and breathable, however, it seems like a stock Chinese chute, with a couple of icebreaker labels sewn on. Also, there is no embroidery as shown in the photo.
Love the Chute!
The Apex Chute is easy to put on, very comfortable, and the perfect barrier against the cold winter temperatures. I've worn it every day since I got it. When not wearing, I can fold it up to easily fit into my coat pocket. I love it!
Good quality and guarantees
Very warm, no need to wear heavy boots for winter, even when it's -20C, very satisfied!
good product!!!
really love this product, soft, warm, no itch. good quality, match what it describe in spec, it's worthy for what I paid!
Sensitive neck
When I first received the Apex I thought it might be too light. I can't stand a cold neck so I always have it covered. I wear scarfs, neck gaiters and high neck zip ups. I put the Apex on tonite at -13C with a wind chill of -19C and never noticed the cold at all. Mostly standing around in the cold. It only occurred to me after the fact, that this neck gaiter did an excellent job, in that I was completely comfortable. My jacket was partially open as well. I usually have to zip up to augment whatever I have on my neck because I feel it. Not tonite.
Good with one problem
This neck warmer is high quality and keeps warm. I like the size of it. I'm a petite woman with a small neck and this sits comfortably under my chin. It's also a perfect size for covering my face. The only thing I'm bummed about is that as an eyeglasses wearer, at below zero and when I cover my face with it, it creates condensation on my glasses and I can't see. However this is probably a problem with all people with glasses so can't really blame on the design.
