Color and Fit

I love the colors of this shoe to start with and was very pleased that they fit my foot. The toe box is wide enough that my toes aren't squished, and the arch support is in the right place on my foot and is actually a true arch support.

Not at all like earlier speedgoat versions

I had a love/hate relationship with the earlier speedgoats. They felt way too stiff and bulky out of the box, and took awhile to break in. Once broken in, they were great though. They gave me that extra Hoka cushioning. I've never been a fun of ultra cushioned shoes, but as I age and acquire new inj...

Great trail/hiking shoe

I tried on the Speedgoat 5&6 (low) plus the Anacapa Breeze low and the Speedgoat 5 is by far the most comfortable shoe right out of the box. The 6 was very uncomfortable and the changes made to the shoe are definitely a negative. The Anacapa Breeze is my runner up. It too was super comfortable. I wore the goat 5 out of the box on a 7 mile hike/run. My feet were never sore and traversing over rocks was not a problem in the low. My favorite part of the shoe is the tongue. I had an ankle/lower leg injury and reg bulky, long tongues hit my ankle causing pain. This one is made of a soft thin material and it stayed in place and was comfortable. What a great shoe with great colors. Note: I wear a 9.5 in my running Hokas and I sized up 1/2 size.

Comments about BGEPM-Blue Graphite/Primrose / 8

I love these shoes. Like running on clouds and great wide toe box. Recommended for trail running and hiking. Coming from Topo Athletic, I am a 8.5 and a size 8 in Hoka, so had to size down a little since these run big.

I am a healthcare worker and also someone who enjoys walking on more rugged terrain. I know these aren't technically walking/lifestyle shoes but they were on sale and when Hoka has a shoe on sale you have to take advantage! However to my surprise these shoes are excellent! I do about 10-15k steps at work depending on how many patients there are in the day. These shoes make my feet feel comfortable and I feel energized walking around in them.

Im on my second pair of this model. I use it for long hard trail runs on rocky/sandy terrain and it has never let me down. The traction and durability is on point even in the wet seasons, and they are comfortable enough that I don't have to think about my feet when I'm running. I have never gotten a blister in these shoes even when doing a long trail run without breaking them in. I love these shoes, and I hope the newer model just adds to the greatness of these.

I loved this suggestion for a running shoe. I joined a run club and these turned out to be perfect. I usually wear a 8.5 but I had to size down to a size 8. They run a little big.

I was looking for a good shoe to hike trails in especially for a trip to Kauai. I have overpronation and usually wear brooks cause they have guiderails that alleviate the pain. However, I tried these on at Roadrunner and immediately I felt the pressure off my knees and my hips felt aligned (I also have a congenital deformity that causes back pain and hip unalignment) I find myself wearing these over my super cushioned supportive brooks. It also helps they are a pretty color. I chose these over the newer version the 6 cause those colors were so ugly I couldn't deal

Very supportive, love the color too. I highly recommend. I do a lot of walking and find my feet aren't tired like they were in my old tennis shoes. Thank you for such a fine product! Mrs D. Allen
