Despite what the staff said, the small/medium size does not fit over a medium helmet unless you are okay with not seeing or breathing. This particular over the helmet hood is great, it is fleece, stays dry as long as it is fresh powder snow and not ice or rain coming down. It has both neck and face protection. It helps reduce the wind chill and protect both the front and back of the neck even on those blustery mountain days. It runs big on purpose so if you are looking to wear it as a hat, it will fit more like a jacket hood. For our female snow lovers that want something they can wear while their hair is in a ponytail, we highly recommend ordering your normal size. If not planning to wear over a helmet or with a high ponytail then order a size down.
