Good tent for whole family but could be great with improveme

Not many options on market for a large tent to hold entire family of 5 or 6. Very easy to setup - even solo. I was worried that the rain fly only covers the upper portion of the tent but used it in a major downpour with heavy winds and had zero water/condensation. However it was summer and i think i...

Great roomy tent but not so good in the wind

The tent was easy to set-up. It was very roomy and comfortable for 2 people. We put our bed at one end and a small table and chairs at the other side. It rained really hard for several hours and there no leaks. The front door has an open mesh at the top half that doesn't have a cover, it was open t...

This was a fantastic tent! Used it with a family of 5 and we had plenty of room for everyone and gear. The quality of the equipment was far and away better than any tent than I have camped in. From the sturdiness of the poles to the quality of the floor and seams, I was thoroughly impressed. On our recent trip, a storm blew through overnight, and the tent didn't budge at all! It was rock solid and we are excited for our next trip.

The tent is great! It goes up easily, and is a great size. The material seems to be of good quality and fits a family of five plus a dog in well. The only negative things I would mention state are that the zips are quite loud to open/close, and that the pockets for storing phones etc. has been set on the inside of the door, which is not particularly helpful if you are opening / closing the door. We are overall very happy with our purchase. The front "porch" area is a fantastic size and perfect for storing things that you'd like under cover but not necessarily in the tent.

Nice size, good construction and great at keeping dry. We used this for the first time and had a thunderstorm that lasted about 5 hours with strong rain/wind. This tent stayed dry even as the other two groups with us had water seep into their tents over the same time. Happy we spent a little more for a nice high quality tent.

Quality product. Set up and breakdown is simple. Stitching, pockets and packaging are legit. Price point is spot on for this quality eight person 3-4 season tent.

We bought this tent once we finally got sick of getting a flooded tent once it rained on any family camping trip. We camp quite a bit as a family and we usually use our pop-up camper which is a mother to setup and breakdown. So we RE-started tent camping as a family for shorter car camping excursions. I wanted a tent that was highly rated for being waterproof, easy setup/breakdown, and internal storage. The one star knock is solely based on the lack of internal storage that I though could be maximized a bit more. There were mesh pockets on all 4 corners and 3 pockets on the main door but it would have cost nearly zero weight to add some mesh storage elsewhere in the tent. I backpack with a Big Agnes Copper Spur and I love love love all the attic and side storage in that tent. Look it up. It's amazing. We were smashed with rain the two nights we were camping in Michigan--one storm actually made the news and not a single drop made it into the tent. The covered vestibule was a Godsend! We were so used to just getting our stuff drenched that having a dried covered area was like a mirage. My husband and I both kept commenting that the vestibule alone was worth the hefty price tag. The setup and breakdown took a minute but it was pretty intuitive for an avid camping family. We did watch several videos before the tent arrived so I know that helped our understanding of the workings of the tent to a great degree. Future setups and breakdowns won't take as long (I'd say it took us about 40 minutes). Looking at the seals and stitching of the tent, I feel it's going to last a longtime. I'll return to update this review if something goes awry.

Fairly easy set up. I have now lost the instructions and am not worried. Great rainproofing. Huge vestibule. Great for car glamping.

I was worried that the rain fly only covers the upper portion of the tent but used it in a major downpour with heavy winds and had zero water/condensation. However it was summer and i think in fall or cooler temps condensation would definitely form inside without a non-touch duel layered rain fly. The major thing to consider with this tent is it is designed for warm weather camping. Most of the top of the tent is ventilated mesh with no way of closing. One night it went into low 50s with high wind and i was really glad we all had mummy bags rated for 20 deg. Can feel a lot of wind penetration.

The tent was surprisingly easy to setup. Color coded poles and it works great so far. I live that everything went back in the carrying bag as I've had problems with other tents in the past.

Havent gotten to actually camp yet, but set up and waterproofed. Upsides are its big and can stand upright inside without crawling around everywhere. Insteuctions are very bad. Being so big its nearly impossible to set up one person. If even a little windy it parachutes away. Im curious how it will hold up in a windy day. Before I staked it I walked away for a minute and the whole assembled tent blew into neighbors yard. The downside of vertical walls. The poles are so long you cant put them up unless someone is standing in the tent holding all the crisscrossing poles up. Hopefully they are tall or it will be a chore. Two improvements would be great. I wish the front door had a mesh + non mesh cover like side doors so the porch csnopy could be optional. Since just mesh, though, you're forced to use it in case of rain. On that note the rain cover barely overlaps thesidesby maybe an inch. Since instructions were horrid I didnt realize there was one tiny velcro pieces where you had to pull hard, stretch and velcro to pole. Water leaked all inside the tent which is the only reason I figured it out. Makes me nervous how it will hold up in wind, or if velcro will detach.

We LOVE this tent! It is perfect for a family of 5. Easy to put up and break down. Enough pockets to store all our things and we love the vestibule! Looking forward to many years of camping with this tent!
