Grand Canyon Hiking !!
My Wife and I bought these sneakers as we were planning a trip to hike in the Grand Canyon. I got the SpeedGoat 5 GTX in Black and she wanted something a little more fashionable so she got the Torrent 3 in Grey/green. We hiked Bright Angel Trail on Saturday, going all the way down to the Gardens a...

Disappointed, bring back the Torrent 2 pls!
Firstly, I need to point out these are trail runners and made for trails. I was surprised before buying these that so many reviewers used these for everyday. They are not designed to last for this type of use. I'm an avid hiker and trail runner and have been through a number of Hoka - Torrent 2's i...

Good alternative to Saucony's trail running shoes

Comments about HMSP-Harbor Mist/Spruce / 10
I've worn Saucony shoes for road & trail running for over 30 years but the toe boxes seem to have gotten increasingly narrow. I've tried several models but they just don't fit well anymore. This is my first time wearing Hoka and so far, so good. I love the roomier toe box and the stability. Four stars until I get more miles on them, then maybe I'll bump it up to five.
I would buy these again.
I'm on my feet for 11 hours @ work and these are very comfortable. I will buy another pair.
First pair of Hoka
I'm in the testing phase of the shoes. After three runs on the trial, not liking the soles. Soles are too thin and cause too much impact. I wore it as a running errands kind of day and shoe feels comfortable. However, it's not meeting my needs which was a trail hiking and running shoe. Also, I'm a half size smaller in Hoka.
The torrent series is a great road to trail shoe
Torrent 1 was definitely my favorite with a genetous rounded toe box. Then Hoka got into the narrow toe box but look nice binge. I traditionally wear an 8 but went up 1/2 size so there would be more room room. I like its firmness and feel of the trail. Not squishy like the speedboat - which is my backup.
Don't love
Not the most comfy trail running shoes, definitely have sore feet and knees by the end of my run. Still love hoka though
Love the comfort and support of Hoka shoes!
I broke my foot on 6/9/24 with 5 fractures. Really did a number on my pour foot. My Orthopedic surgeon recommended the Hoka brand for me so start wearing. This is my second paid and I love how comfortable they are. I did not have surgery, but was casted for 9 weeks (6 of which were NON WEIGHT BEARING! This was extremely difficult to say the least! I am now 14 weeks post fracture and still have some pain and swelling, but the Hokas are going to be my savior!
