Needs a wide fit version!
Just picked these bad boys up and I am so stoked! I have Freibergs Disease (metatarsal bone issue) so shoes with carbon fiber footplates are a must for me as they help keep the metatarsals stable. Coming from Speedgoat 5, the fit is almost identical but the Tecton X2 definitely feel lighter and sp...

Good shoe for light trails, terrible for technical terrain
This shoe feels great on flat roads or light, non-technical trail running. I went from the Stinson and speedgoats to this and I do very technical trail running on steep, rocky terrain. The Stinson handles amazingly, and is super stable over rocks and steep descents, however, this shoe is incredibly ...

My preference is the Clifton over these!
That said, these are good shoes. My Clifton ones were great, though which is why 4 and not 5 stars. I couldn't find another pair of Clifton's in my size, so I went with these. They're just not quite as comfortable.
Favorite trail shoe
I'm not a fan of the new tectonic. I don't like cuffs around my shoe. I hope you keep the original design
Great shoes
I bought them to help with my sore toes! They really do work!! Not sure I like the Hoka colors tho!
I Would Buy Again!
Nice shoe, I always wear Hoka's and they fit just as I expected.
Love this shoe!
I now own three pairs of Tecton 2 sneakers! I stocked up due to the sale as well as the new style coming out. Love the roomy toe box, great fit around my ankle, and the extra traction on the sole. Super comfortable, all purpose, walking and light hiking shoe.
Great trail shoe
I really love the Tecton X2. It has good cushioning, but it's very responsive. Fast, nimble, and just the right amount of stability and protection for the trail. Note that it runs just a little small, in my opinion. I'd recommend going up a half-size.
Yes I look for other later, I liked very muchooo!🥰👏🏽👏🏽
I use in Zumba Class, walking and when I going shopping.
Should come with WARNING label
I was really excited to try out carbon-plated trail shoes, but I'm disappointed I didn't read the many reviews cautioning to be careful on technical trails. I liked everything about the shoe- weight, cushion, fit, etc. except the stability. My foot struck a rock wrong during my second run in these shoes, and instead of absorbing the shock like other hokas, the plates caused my foot to basically fold under my ankle, resulting in a fracture. Needless to say, I am returning the shoes. These shoes are not for trails with ANY technical elements. Again, the shoes felt great initially and I wanted to like them, but I would only ever wear a shoe like this on a gravel or dirt trail with no roots/large rocks.
