Could be better.
I don't like that you have to click the power button 4 times to the get the brightest mode. And it doesn't remember the setting you had it on, so the next time you go to use it you have to cycle through all of the different light modes again.

I'm really happy with this light. The only draw back is that you have to cycle the tail cap switch for flood and/or beam. Other than that it's light, compact, and built tough. This light will last years. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Lightweight, strong with multiple light settings. The brightest setting it good for most normal applications. The size is perfect to throw in your back pocket and turn on the flood to light up areas as you walk around. This doesn't have one of the adjustable beams by twisting the head. Instead, you use the button to toggle through the settings. I received the upgraded rechargeable battery with mine and that thing lasts.

I was given this light a month ago by Coast to review. I wasn't paid, just given the light, so my views are not biased. I had purchased the Coast xp11r because it was brighter than any of my other lights so it became my EDC LIGHT. I came to the website to write a review and also saw that I could review a product. Having reviewed many products before, I thought this is perfect! So I received the PS500R 'PolySteel 500 Rechargeable'and put up my xp11r. I carried it everywhere for a month. It's very bright for its size. It has 4 settings, 2 flood, a spot beam and flod/spot combined for a total of 740 lumens. It is water proof crush proof, drop proof, all which I tested myself also! It's powered by the Rechargeable plus battery the zithion-x zx456, and you can also use 4 AAA batteries in the included tray to power it if you are charging the battery or in an unlikely situation happen to find yourself with a dead battery. I took this flashlight hiking, walking on the beach looking for crabs, for every day light use at work, early morning walks, I put this to every test I fairly could for a month. I love this flashlight, and now my wife does too, because it's her EDC now since I already have the Coast xp11r. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a Rechargeable dual fuel light! Coast products are bright and tough!!!!

Get the facts straight. I'm sure this is a great flashlight as I have many and am a Crew Member. 5m is not 5ft, it's 15ft. The first number in "IP" rating is about dry contamination (dust, dirt, etc..) the second is wet protection like water resistant ( rain or to rinse with no pressurized water), and water proof ( submersible to a shallow depth, drop it in a light river condition and retrieve it without it being ruined). This flashlight is most likely IP68 and not IP 66 that some information suggests. Get your advertising in order Coast.

This compact flashlight has a sleek look the grip feels great in hand and the light beam is very interesting in that it has a l.e.d. focus with the wide beam. 4 different modes very fun to click through. For me as an aviation mechanic its helpful to get the focus on what I am working on while also illuminating the surrounding area. Also it doesn't roll off a surface as easily as more rounded lights because the neck is grooved. I recommend adding this light to your collection.

Like the light a lot except for one thing,the tail cap only catches about 2 or maybe 3 threads.This seems like it would be very easy to strip the threads or come off very easily.
