Outstanding! Exactly what I was hoping for

I've been using my ProRide XT for a couple of months now and love it. It was very easy to install on the rack and it is perfectly designed and quality manufactured. It is everything you hope for and Thule delivered. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking to free up space on the...

Just OK

These were a warranty replacement for fork mounted racks that let one bike topple on top of a panoramic roof at 70 mph. These racks work but for my mt. bike i have discovered if you do not use a bungee to hold the from wheel straight it becomes difficult if not impossible to mount the bike properly....

I'm in my first season using the ProRide XT but so far I am very happy with it. It was easy to install to the rack and is not too difficult to mount. Once in place it is locked in tight and after thousands of miles AT 65-70 mph I have had no problems with the rack at all. The only complaint I have is that the locks are sold separately.

I bought two of these after my roof rack and 599 big mouth bike holders were damaged by a tractor trailer. I own a small minivan, mazda 5, and the rack is just high enough that I can just reach so there's always the potential for some difficulty putting a bike up there and this carrier exacerbates the issue. Without a decent tray the front wheel wants to turn and fall off requiring the fork to be held while leaning the bike to get the clamp past the stays and crank, but if the tray is remotely damp the rear wheel will slip out instead. The big issue is the tray really doesn't keep the wheels in place. I've since bought replacement 599s with proper trays and use these two as backups, I've had a lot of thule over the years but with the tray style these use, they're awful

The Thule ProRide XT was easy to install and directions were clear enough to understand. The device was not a good for me personally as the bike was too hard for me to mount on the roof.

I had the previous Thule proride XT. I loved it ! this one seems less sturdy. I am disappointed that it does not come with the lock cylinder :( sad now i have to purchase it separately. seems like it would be something that would come standard.

Mine is attached to THULE WingBar Evo Load Bars. Great. Tested both with road bike at 75mph for 30'. No problems. Recommend Thule carbon frame protector if applicable for yours.

It's a great rack to carry. Slightly difficult to mount the back compared to a fork mounted bike.

I had another roof bike rack before this one, but that one extended far enough over the hatch door that I could not fully open the hatch when the bike rack was on it. Fortunately, I don't have this issue with the Thule rack! The rack is so easy to use that the hardest part is hoisting the bike onto the roof of the car. I love not having to dismantle my bike to travel with it!

Lack of Securement

I've been using this bike rack for a couple weeks now for my full suspension mountain bike. Today I was driving through a local parking lot going 10mph, the pavement was slightly uneven which created an intense side to side sway of my mountain bike. In a flash, my frame had forced its way out of the locking frame clamp, swung down and created a decent sized dent in my A pillar. Note: the frame clamp was 100% torqued down and locked. My bike was struggling to hold on via the straps that hold the wheels in place. If this bike rack can't even handle an uneven parking lot, how could it possibly secure a bike while going highway speeds. I absolutely DO NOT recommend this rack.
