I used the Kawana at the gym. While for the most part it is comfortable, the split swallow tail/heel is a nuisance. It throws off the gait and I find that I have to compensate for the pronation that the heel creates. I do not like these shoes.

The cushion and spring in this shoe are wonderful. No elite athlete here. Senior citizen with flat, painful feet. With Hoka, I'm able to shop the malls and keep moving and participating in life. I've been trying different Hoka styles, and so far these have been the best for me. The energy return from the sole is phenomenal.

Very comfortable, stable shoe. I had a knee replacement 2 years ago and have tried many different shoes. about 2 months ago my other knee started to ache as i injured it on the elliptical machine. I purchased 2 pair of hokas. I wore them around the house for a few days. I noticed when wearing them, my knees seemed to feel better. I usually match my entire outfit, so I put together outfits so I could wear my hokas for a solid week. My knees felt like they did when I was young, these shoes gave so much stability and comfort, I had zero knee pain while wearing them. Today I confirmed my suspicions as I wore a pair of my former favorites, my knees ached all day. Thanks for making these.TC

They got good look and are of nice sturdy material but sad part it is just hitting my medial arch and making me uncomfortable when I walk . I am hoping when I wear them more my feet gets more settle in , not sure .

For some reason you went to a thinner shoelace material which requires a double tie. This is my 3rd pair. A pair of Clifton 8's had thicker laces. I found a set of thicker laces for my black Clifton 9's and now happy. Because the laces on these are not black, will not be enjoying having to double tie. Go back to the thicker laces and just add the .25 cents you are saving to the price.
