Description
When it comes to tent longevity, we've got you covered. The Hornet Footprint is not for waterproofness; Nemo floors already are impenetrable to water. Rather it protects your tent floor when camping on rough surfaces, adding longevity to your tent.

Clips?
Great footprint, however as a lot of people have pointed out the clips at the "head" of the tent do not clip into anything when the tarp is attached. Seems like Nemo has commented on all reviews bringing this up and has not offered a solution. Please help

Right size, wrong clips
The material itself is fine and great for a footprint. But as someone else said, the 'head' end of the footprint has two corners with black, plastic rectangular-D shaped 'clips'. According to the tag that came with the tent, the corner's use 'Jake's feet' connectors. These connectors fit the main tent just fine. But the tag instructions on how to connect the footprint do not match the actual footprint. I found another post that said to just slide the slot in the D-clip over the corner strap for the main tent. That works, but provides a very loose connection between the tent and footprint. Depending on how things slide around, the tent overlaps the footprint by up to 5" or more on the edge, rather defeating the purpose of having a protective footprint. I may stitch the corner straps on the D-clips smaller, or see if I can find some other way to tighten them so they are more securely fastened to the tent.
Great but plastic clips does not fit to the tent
Super light and waterproof but still don't understand how to attach the plastic black clips to the tent. Any help please?
Does not fit.
The 'head' end of the footprint has two corners with black, plastic rectangular-shaped 'clips' that don't actually clip to the tent. Who knows what the clip to, but it is not to the Hornet tent corners. What on earth were you guys thinking when you designed this thing? For the price you really, really need to hire a designer that can engineer a simple 'solution' to attaching the corners of the ground sheet/foot print to the corners of the tent. Really frustrating experience.
Unnecessary
The footprint is extra weight you don't need, the tent rocks and is waterproof. It's a great tent. The footprint is just another thing you have to dry out and or wash each morning. Your tent will get dirty and wet on the bottom even with this footprint. I returned mine.

Poor attachment design
The plastic C rings that attach this footprint to the tent fell off somewhere during my last backpacking trip. Poor design. As the material loosened up with use, it became more difficult to attach these rings, especially if the conditions were wet.
Excellent Footprint!
Footprints are supposed to be smaller than the floor of your tent so water does not pool between the floor of your tent and the footprint. This one is the perfect size!
Defective? Footprint was smaller than the tent
Love the tent but not the foot print!! Went to Lost Maples (Texas) backpacking trip and I got the Hornet 2P due to its light weight. Set up was in the dark and was a breeze (I also practiced at home before trip). The foot print was not very intuitive. There is a grommet hole to let you know which end is which- but the other side where the 2 stakes were- the plastic square ring on the footprint snapped and broke. But, the most irritating thing was that there was about 5" of tent NOT covered with the footprint. This left rock and dirt imprints on the tent floor where it wasn't protected. It thunderstormed that night with 22 mph wind gusts and the tent did impressively well. DRY. I'm returning the print and getting another one since. It's less than 2 weeks old.
