I've used this filter on 18 of my 22 Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness trips after realizing that filling a Nalgene bottle 4-5 times a day was tiresome and time consuming. It uses the same filter as a hand pump filtering system with one tenth of the work and produces twice the clean, safe, reasonably good tasting water in a wilderness setting. I contracted a case of Giardia on a fishing trip to Montana. If you've not gone through that nastiness, please believe me, you don't want to. This hang -up bag minimizes that exposure. I use it with a 2 1/2 gal. collapseable water jug to provide water for 2 people per day for cooking, coffee, and personal drinking water.
