The footprint fits the tent size exactly, which is great. However, the material seems quite thin and I did expect it to be more heavy-duty in order to prevent rocks etc. from piercing the tent.

Yeah I see those comments about buying tarps over this. Sure, I got this on sale, but if you're spending as much as you do on the tent comparing to a Coleman, why not just spend the extra money for a footprint made specifically for your tent? Fits awesome, folds significantly smaller than a tarp, would be perfect if it was slightly thicker.

It's a must for the Wawona 8, as the tent floor is very thin, and this will protect your investment. This thing should come with the tent.
