The box construction is sturdy, installation was very easy and it holds allot of gear if you need room for your small SUV. The clamp locks can snap out of position, which is of concern but so far no issues when the carrier is in place on the roof tightened.

Just had this (65" long) installed on my Subaru Crosstrek by Subaru. Got it home, unlocked it and opened it. Closed it, locked it back but it didn't go all the way to the left but was locked. Now the key won't come out and it won't unlock! It's new so I can't imagine it's got dust/dirt in the lock already. Help!

Bought to supplement the storage space of my Subaru Crosstrek. Much bigger in person than the pictures suggest, so make sure you've got a good place to store it laying flat. Can fit a huge amount of luggage/gear and it didn't decrease the fuel efficiency by much. On a recent trip, I was able to fit 5 pairs of skis and 2 snowboards comfortably with all their bindings attached. This would be 5 stars, but the locking mechanism is flimsy and the keyhole is already feeling warped. Sometimes the key gets a little stuck and I have to jiggle it out. I'm told that it's possible to break the key inside the lock if you turn it too hard.
