I bought one of each of all of the meals to try them out before buying more. I didn't have high expectations for the chicken and dumplings because it just sounded kind of bland. However, I was wrong! It's surprisingly tasty, with a good texture (really more like biscuits than dumplings). A true comfort food along the lines mac and cheese. Filling, but not heavy. I immediately ordered more to supplement my long term supplies.

I could not believe that chicken and dumpling could be freezer dried but Mountain House sure did it and it really does taste like chicken and and dumplings!! Very good and hearty meal.

I had tried this pouch and I truly loved how it tasted. It had flavor and you can taste real chicken and biscuit. There is no paper like taste and its packed with enough seasoning to taste. I have not tasted any other varieties because this is food for emergencies only. I bought most varieties so I would definitely base the rest on how the Chicken and Dumpling tasted
