Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Time
Dear Saucony: Stop it. You can't make it better. You're only making it worse. The holy grail of light, non-plated, minimalistic tempo trainers has been taken out back and shot. I tried this new version of my beloved daily workhorse on at a local shop and ran in it for a week. It's a different shoe t...

Comfy and light
It's so light and comfy. It's my first kinvara and I am amazed
Very comfortable and light, my go-to for road.
My previous shoe, the Kinvara 13 lasted 1300 km, these 14's were used on the indoor track for 5 months and I destroyed the uppers after just 3 months or 500 km. Not good.
Bring back the original
I returned these. Didn't like the fit at all. You should reintroduce the original Kinvara, exactly as it was. In my opinion it was the best Kinvara by far.
Worst update
Horrible update. After running in Kinvaras for a decade, since version 2, this may be my last pair. Soles are too spongy and the new elasticized lace eyelets make getting the shoe tight without creating hot-spots impossible. I will go back and buy a few pairs of the 13's and pray they last until the 15's come out and hopefully go back to what had worked for so long. Why must you mess with something that had been working for 13 versions?
Long-time Kinvara fan disappointed by model 14
I've loved Kinvara shoes for their minimalist approach, solid feeling of connection to the ground, feeling nimble and light. I have been buying pairs for years, stocking up so that I've got a fresh pair whenever an old set bites the dust, since they're such a great fit and approach. With this newest model 14, I am so disappointed. The over-cushioned feeling of the bottom gets in the way of agility, and the way the bottom has been built leaves a feeling of instability. I've tried breaking a new set in with low-mileage runs, and after trying am left with shin splints, ankle strain (not normal for me), and unsatisfying runs. I'll be heading online to grab any unsold pairs of the Kinvara 13. For those looking for a minimalist shoe with a feeling of stability and energy, this is not your shoe. Hopefully Saucony will return to the traits of the Kinvara that has made it such a fan for long-distance minimalist runners.
Too light
They are too light. The old Kinvara's were a little more sturdy. My feet get tired in these really fast.
2nd Time Around
Purchased my first K14's MAY '23. They remain in good shape. Light weight, comfort, stable for active wear. I liked them so much I purchased a second pair (enroute). On my feet 2/3 of the day and these K14s are superior to all other athletic shoe I own, (Adidas, Nike, Puma, Hoka). No need for orthotic inserts.
Terrible downgrade
Don't get these if you liked previous generations of the Kinvara, as I did. The higher stack height and new cushioning make them feel blocky and dead underfoot. It's like running on Silly Putty. And while they're not uncomfortable, the new upper design lets my foot slide around awkwardly.
Great feeling shoe
Love these shoes fit foot perfectly. This shoes are firm and feel great on my feet while running. I have several shoes with thick foam. These are a great change up to those shoes. I love doing fast/tempo runs in these usually 6 miles and under. I rally enjoy the firmness yet comfort of this shoe. I grab this pair quite often during the week. Currently running 6 days a wk @/around 40 miles/wk. Great shoe. Only dislike is the shiney look on the upper, but it's total acceptable do to the feel of the shoe.
Kinvara 14 (Basic Model)
While I appreciate the lowered price point, there are some key things missing from the flagship Kinvara that after 15 pairs I've come to expect. The redesigned tread was an interesting choice for a primarily road shoe. I'm 50 miles in and this is the first time I feel like I have to break them in before they're easy running.
