It's all about the comfortable non binding last
2nd pair for me. The last is roomy up front for my wide fore foot with normal heel. Not Topo athletic wide but close enough. Notice the straight side for big toe, squarish toe box. Pretty unique, like Hanwag SF Extra and Meindl comfort lasts but I find these even more comfortable. Round toe box equ...

Disappointing
I was a huge fan of the arrowwoods Teva used to make up until they changed the design or materials a few years ago and they became very uncomfortable. I was hoping the Riva was a course correction back to the tried and true design. Pros:. Lightweight, seems sturdy, doesn't hurt my feet like the A...

2 pair of Teva
This is my second pair of Teva multi-day hiking boots, I use them every day for work. Very light weight and keeps my feet dry

Smaller sizing then the ridge view low.
This boot is great. I do like it a lot. I phone ordered it and asked if it was the same sizing as the ridge view low. I was told to order the same size. Sadly now the boot is small on my foot. I could of sent it back, I probably should of. But I didn't. I would say this boot is true to size. Unlike the ridge view low that runs larger.
Absolute marshmellow to wear in the bush
I use the boot for off track hunting and hiking and its like wearing slippers. Used it in -1c temp with good merino socks and was brilliant Very waterproof and i just hope it stands upto the long term test.
Disappointing
I was a huge fan of the arrowwoods Teva used to make up until they changed the design or materials a few years ago and they became very uncomfortable. I was hoping the Riva was a course correction back to the tried and true design. Pros:. Lightweight, seems sturdy, doesn't hurt my feet like the Arrowwoods started to do Cons: fixed lace loops all the way instead of open lace catches at the top makes it more difficult to get the boot on and off. While the footbed is the same length as other 10.5 boots/shoes I have, they feel a little too much room and I have to cinch the laces down really tight around the ankles to keep my heel somewhat in place. Because the footbed is the right length, imagine a size 10 would be too small. Also, saw questionable gluing between the rubber and leather out of the box, so we'll see about long term durability. They "work" but I'm not excited about them like the Arrowwoods of a few years ago that were simply amazing, best lightweight boot ever. Maybe they need more break in time but after 100 miles not sure.
