This is my third pair of Mafate's, in all different colors of course! 🤣 From the first time I've tried them on the trails here in Hawaii, I loved them! Trail running or just hiking, rock scrambling, perfect for all! I recommend these shoes to all my trail running friends!

I definitely will be buying this pair again. I quickly realized the traction on the shoe while running on very loose terrain. I felt safe running downhill at a fast speed which makes the downhill reward that much better!

These Hoka shoes caused incredible knee pain, the worst I have experienced in years. The pain was extreme and lasted for days after wearing them just once, leaving me frustrated and upset. I wanted these shoes to work out because I need dependable footwear that won't aggravate my existing knee issues. Unfortunately, these shoes failed me in the most painful way possible. I purchased these shoes based on a recommendation from an employee who assured me they would be a great fit for my needs. From the start, the experience was difficult. The store I visited had no selection of shoes in my size or colors, so I was forced to order them online. I couldn't even order them to the store for pickup, which I found odd. The most important takeaway is that these shoes triggered extreme knee pain. I wore them for just one hike, and my knees suffered more than they have in years. The discomfort was so severe that it lingered for days afterward. I couldn't believe how much they set me back. When I returned the shoes to the store, I genuinely hoped to share my experience with the manager to help improve future customer interactions and explain why I was disappointed. I also wanted to see if they could suggest something better suited to my needs. However, the manager showed zero interest in my feedback, my pain, or helping me find an alternative. She processed the refund without care or consideration, making an already bad experience even worse. It was clear she had no interest in anything I had to say. This was my first time trying Hoka shoes, and, sadly, it will be my last. The combination of intense knee pain, a complicated ordering process, and dismissive customer service made this a horrible experience from start to finish. Not only was this a huge disappointment and waste of time, but these shoes also triggered severe pain.If you have knee sensitivities or past issues, I'd strongly advise looking elsewhere.

Caused Pain in the Balls of my feet

I chose this Malfate beecause I liked the colors, pattern and it said good for walking and hiking. I hike with my dogs nearly every day on both blacktop and wooded trails. Sadly by the 3rd week they started to hurt the balls of my feet; and not just during the longs dog walks but for hours afterward. Like real aches that wouldn't quit. So I got a good 3 weeks out of them and now can no longer wear them. They wore out so fas I was stunned. Clearly my old feet need a more cushy Hoka like the Bondi or the Skyflow that I just got and absolutely LOVE

I absolutely love the feel of the shoe unfortunately it caused plantar fasciitis on my right foot. I had to go back to my Brooks running shoes.

Ouch! That would be a no go! Our Mafate Speed 4 may not be the shoe for you if you are experiencing plantar fasciitis. You may want to look into our Arahi 7 style, which are actually running shoes created to help alleviate plantar pain. They are both stable and balanced.
